On September 11th, Lonnie Nasatir, ADL Regional Director of the Chicago/Upper Midwest Region served on a panel with with law enforcement leaders from Milwaukee to discuss the tragedy that took place on August 5th at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek Wisconsin. Lonnie was joined on the panel with the US attorney and ASAC from Milwaukee along with Amardeep Kaleka, the son of one of the six people murdered in the Temple shooting. There were over 100 people were in attendance. Lonnie primarily focused on ADL’s involvement in monitoring and exposing extremist groups and the relationships ADL maintains with law enforcement to insure this information is shared properly. These issues were particularly relevant and timely considering that it was the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
